As a 2015 graduate of Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee, Robert Maines earned the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Degree. Following up his time there, he attended the Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law, graduating with the Doctor of Jurisprudence in May 2021. During his time at LMU, Robert Maines served as the President of the Veterans Law Society, Vice President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and as a member of Phi Alpha Delta. Robert has been recognized for volunteer hours performed while in law school with the O. O. Howard Pro Bono Award, an award for compassion from Phi Alpha Delta for assisting The United Way with pandemic response, and he has been published in the Lincoln Memorial University Law Review. Prior to his academic endeavors, Robert served in the United States Army for sixteen years and deployed on multiple rotations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as a combat medic. Following his military career, he served his community as a Sheriff’s Deputy in Meigs County, Tennessee until 2018.
